Future Walk : Flannel Shirt + Chunky Scarf

Before leaving Calgary, I wanted to take a stroll down the newly-built Peace Bridge. This pedestrian bridge crosses the Bow River and features a very interesting double-helix shape. It just became open to the public last year, which is why I have not seen it in person until now. I quite admire this bridge’s futuristic design; it looks like something straight out of Final Fantasy XIII. Geekiness aside, I had a nice short stroll down this bridge while staring out into the half-frozen Bow River.

I’m wearing:

Brooks Brothers Leather Jacket (also here) | Gap Flannel Shirt | H&M Long-sleeved Tee (underneath) | Topman Skinny Chinos | Topman Morris Chukka Boots | Club Monaco Lancaster Scarf | Ted Baker Canbre Satchel

To stay warm in the late winter cold, I wore an H&M stretchy long-sleeved tee underneath my flannel shirt. This tee fits me like a second skin and it serves as a very useful layering piece for extra warmth.

not only is your fashion choice good but so too the background, photographicly speaking. my partner and i were in banff a few years ago and followed portions of the bow, non-frozen.

Lovely outfit, wish more young guys knew how to dress so well. Curious about one thing, who takes the photos?

    • Justin L

Thanks, Jen! I appreciate the kind words! Since I live alone, I often use a tripod to do my own shots. It takes more time and practice, but eventually it works out!

What time was it that you could go and have it be so empty?

    • Justin L

It was on a weekday afternoon, so it wasn’t very busy!

Nice photos. I love how the color of your pants match the color of the bridge. Very cool. Did you do that on purpose?

    • Justin L

Haha Debbie I noticed the same! No, it wasn’t on purpose, just a very picturesque accident :)

  • Little Miss Ling
