Comfort Zone : Stripes + Lasting Friendships

Last night I had the pleasure of hosting a big potluck party at my house for my old friends from high school. Some of these friends I haven’t seen since graduation five years ago, and so being reunited with them was the most fun I’ve had in a little while. We spent the night catching up on each other’s lives and laughing about our silly teenage years. It was great hearing about everyone’s success, whether in their academics, careers, or personal lives. One of them is even going to become a father this summer! All my best wishes go to him. Despite having separated paths for so long, I’m glad that many of us still find joy in seeing each other’s old faces. As the saying goes – “The more things change, the more they stay the same”.

I’m wearing:

I’m spending most of today at home to recover from last night, so I’m wearing a cozy sweater and my favourite pair of jeans. These Topman Stretch Skinny jeans are the most worn jeans in my closet. Although they were super inexpensive at just $50, I like them because they have 2% elastane which makes such a huge difference in comfort. Also, it helps that they have a tapered leg opening, allowing me to wear both shoes and boots with them.

Love the sweater! Use to work for a cashmere designer, and this is a very cool design for men.

Thanks, Elise! I like this sweater a lot too because its design is interesting and its wool composition is quite warm. Just what I would expect from rag&bone!
