Super Casual : Fleece Sweatshirt + Varsity Jacket

And…it’s Friday! Today I’m dressed relaxed in my black varsity jacket and fleece-lined sweatshirt. Although both these pieces are basic and plain, I actually reach for them a lot more than my fancier pieces. That’s because they’re comfortable, fitted, and in gray scale colours. I find that it pays to invest in my basics because I really do get a lot of wear out of them.

Whenever I’m in a rush to pick something to wear, I always feel safe choosing pieces in black, white, or gray. It doesn’t matter what goes on top and what goes on bottom, any combination of these colours always looks sharp. I do avoid wearing all of one colour though – all black makes me look too slim, all white looks like sportswear, and all grey has an aging effect. Otherwise, you can’t go wrong with any combination of these three colours.
