Academia : Oxford Shirt + Basic Sweater
A shirt-sweater combo is a classic smart look that’s perfect for wearing to any academic or business casual setting. I particularly like layering grey or navy v-necks over white oxford shirts for a clean and preppy look. The only downside to wearing this combination is that it always takes me a while to pull my sweater over my shirt evenly. However, a hidden benefit to wearing these layers is that ill-fitting shirts can be concealed underneath sweaters.

I’m wearing:
Shirt - Gap | Sweater – Abercrombie & Fitch | Pants - Banana Republic
Shoes - Sorel | Sunglasses - Banana Republic
I’m actually very impressed with the latest collection of Gap’s oxford shirts. I own three in total because they’re such great quality at very reasonable prices. These shirts are made with a thick and durable cotton that hardly ever needs ironing or special care. This white shirt I’m wearing has also managed to stay perfectly white after several washes without needing to be bleached.
